The head of the Banks Association, Roufael Denied Rumors About Money Transfers

Farid Roufael, vehemently denied rumors about huge
transfers of banking deposits outside the country. Roufael
made these comments after signing with the president of the
bank employees federation a new collective labour contract
for the year 2002-2003. The collective labour contract was
the first of its kind in Lebanon and the Arab world and
constituted, since 1972, a main factor of stability for the
Lebanese banking sector.
